MILLINGTON has some positives words for Steelmen ahead of tough encounter

Eighth in Toolstation NCEL Division One, Dronfield Town head to Parkgate (9th) with just two points between the teams – and Dronfield Manager, Chris Millington has been seriously impressed by the way Steelmen Manager, Andy Dawson has gone about his business at the former Steelworks club, writes Colin Muncie.

It’s been another seriously good season so far for the Derbyshire side, and Chris wants to keep his side’s good form going, after a narrow loss at leaders Campion last weekend. “We are looking forward to Saturday against another team who are in form at the moment,” Chris admitted.

“Since the new management team came in at Parkgate they have really turned a corner – and from the outside it looks like they have a team that can compete and beat any team in this League. We will be going into Saturday hoping to keep them below us in the League and look to pick up where we left off last Saturday in terms of commitment – but we can hopefully look after the ball a bit better and have a bit more quality going forward.”

“It’s got the makings of a really close game.”
