Dodsworth delight as Hancock gifts Nostell super win!

An 8th minute goal from striker Kai Hancock settled an interesting tie between Nostell and Hallam with Welfare running out slender 1-0 winners.

Joint manager Jason Dodsworth was not at the game but had this to say, “Unfortunately, I didn’t watch the game today but I’ve had good reports throughout the game and it was a fantastic win for us. We had 2 great chances to extend our 1- 0 lead but didn’t take them.

“Apparently, we were under the cosh a lot of the second half but we put our bodies on the line and defended everything they threw at us. Personally, I don’t think there will be many teams that keep Hallam out this season and I fully expect them to be up there still at the end of the season. But I have full praise for our players today it’s a big win for us.”

  1. Great game for the neutral, Nostell had a couple of chances & should have done better with them and defended for their lives in the second half. But how Hallam have not scored is beyond me! Nostell goal was like rorkes drift at times! but thats football. Enjoyable game from first minute till last.
