DODSWORTH: “We owe them one from our home defeat – and the less said the better on that one, I think!”

Nostell Miners Welfare finished 2018 in fifth place in Toolstation NCEL Division One, courtesy of a home win in a close battle with fellow promotion hopefuls Hallam. This weekend, Nostell head to Rossington Main, twelfth in the table – and Joint Manager, Jason Dodsworth is determined to ensure that his players build on that win over the Countrymen.

“We need to go and get three points against Rossington, or Saturday’s win against Hallam will mean nothing,” Jason warned. “We’re hoping to put a run of wins together now to keep up with the pace – and to do that we need to apply ourselves the same way we did last Saturday. There are no easy games in this League and you have to earn the points.”

“Rossington Manager, Ryan Hindley is slowly turning Rossington around and has some really good players in his side so we can’t give them time to play; we must be bang at it from the start,” Jason insisted, with October’s defeat to Main still firmly in his mind. “We owe them one from our home defeat as well – and the less said the better on that one, I think.”

“I am sure we will see two attacking teams going at it come Saturday afternoon.”
