WHITEHEAD: “Hopefully it’s back to business and the lads can start another good run!”

Hallam go into 2019 just seven points adrift of Toolstation NCEL Division One leaders Campion with two games in hand. On Saturday, they entertain 15th-placed AFC Emley, who will have coach and former Harrogate Railway Athletic Manager, Marlon Adams and former Manager, Darren Hepworth in caretaker charge after Joe Howson’s departure last week – and Hallam’s Joint Managers are convinced that The Pewits will be hard to beat at the weekend.

The Bootiful Game will be at Sandygate for the clash.

Joint Manager, Stephen Whitehead told TBG’s Craig Kendall, “It will be another tough test for us. With Darren taking over – who did a great job the last time he was here – we will have to be bang at it and make sure we start the game well, as we conceded in the first 10 minutes last week after starting a bit slowly.”

“Hopefully it’s back to business and the lads can start another good run.”

Joint Manager, Scott Bates told us that he’s not fooled by Emley’s League position. “It’s a game that we have been looking forward to. I believe they are in a false position in the League with the quality players they have, so we need to prepare right as usual and give it our best shot.”

“The lads have been brilliant for us last year, so I hope we can keep that going.”
