Grimsby Borough missed the chance to keep the pressure on the top two in Division One as they went down by the odd goal in five at Glasshoughton Welfare, writes Ian Robinson.
After seeing his side throw away a two goal lead in the final 15 minutes, Borough Manager Daniel Barrett was not a happy man.
“Today’s result is obviously a bad one for us and to be quite honest I’ve said everything I can to our lads after the game. I could go on and on but at the end of the day, Glasshoughton have done more than us and rightfully won the game.”
Daniel also felt that the man in the middle needed to answer some questions about his own performance, telling us “It sounds like a broken record from every Manager in the league, and I am sure the Glassy bosses will agree, but something seriously needs doing about the standards of refereeing at this level, and not only the standard of officials but the arrogance and ignorance of them also. It’s becoming a absolute joke.”
