Before yesterday’s game between Campion and Ollerton Town, most punters would have backed a home win, as their recent form and top of the table status saw them favourites, but a superb performance from Town saw a goalless draw at Scotchman Road.
NCEL Division One player of 2018 and Ollerton striker Gavin King gave us his thoughts after the game, “I thought campion were a very good side, organised and played out from the back very well. There young keeper made a couple of cracking saves in first half.
“Overall they will be dissapointed at not scoring as they had the majority of the chances especially in second half, but I thought our lads battled brilliantly to get a point. Again we were missing a few players but team spirit is really good at the minute so hopefully keep this steady run going.”
