Just as the Bootiful Game tries its hardest to maintain the highest standards of cutting and pasting in its coverage of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division, so Bridlington Town Manager, Brett Agnew is careful never to get ahead of himself, as he continues the fine work, he, Assistant, Anthony Bowsley, and their fifth-place team are doing at Queensgate. This Saturday, though, he locks horns with Craig Ogilvie and a Harrogate side, who, although nineteenth in the table, have shown recently that they are coming into a good run of form – something that hasn’t passed Brett by, writes Colin Muncie.
“We will go into this game full of confidence as ever and take the many positives from last Saturday’s game into it,” Brett told TBG. “Harrogate have picked up a few good results in their last two games – so they will come to get a result, not just to pass the time of day.”
Brett is grateful for the support his players are receiving from the Seasiders’ followers. “We must keep winning games to put pressure on the teams in and around us,” Brett warned, “so we have to go out and put on a professional display on Saturday to keep the buzz going in the dressing room and at the club. The fans are all much happier and will as always get behind the lads.”
“I’ve given the lads a challenge to take into January,” Brett revealed, “and it’s started off pretty well.”
“I think it’s important to set ourselves challenges to keep ourselves hungry to succeed.”
