Hallam management team anticipates tough Campion challenge

Just five points separate Campion, the leaders in Toolstation NCEL Division One, and fourth-placed Hallam, who have two games in hand on the Bradford club. It’s set up to be a fantastic match up at the Kay and Lane Insurance Stadium tomorrow – and the Hallam Management team are really looking forward to the clash, writes Colin Muncie.

Hallam’s Joint Manager, Scott Bates acknowledges that Campion are where they are on merit, but doesn’t attempt to underplay the importance of the fixture. “They don’t come bigger than this for us,” Scott told us. “Against a team who sit top of the league and deservedly so. We had another good training session tonight, and will go into the game with the same mind set as we do every game.”

Assistant Manager, Dean Bamforth was pleased to get past a dogged AFC Emley thanks to a fine attacking display after the interval. “It’s a big one without a doubt,” Dean admitted. “Looking at each other’s stats there’s nothing in it. We bounced back on Saturday and played well in the second half so hopefully we’ll take that into Saturday.”

Dean agrees that the table doesn’t lie. “It’s our first look at them this season,” he acknowledged. “You don’t go top in this League if you’re not doing things right – so we’ll see.”
