NCEL Premier Division side Worksop Town have today confirmed the signing of striker Calum Ward from Division One outfit Campion FC.
The former Tadcaster Albion, Ossett Town, Glasshoughton Welfare and Garforth Town 25-year old striker has had a proflic career so far and is gearing to go for the Tigers.
Calum told their Official Website, “I am buzzing to have signed and I can’t wait to get started. I feel like I’m being added to an already quality side who get a fantastic following.”
Ward will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s Sandy Lane Derby against Handsworth Parramore.
He continued; “I’m excited to be involved. The side are doing well, and it should be a hard battle. I expect it to be a tough game and one for the neutrals. We have the strength to get a positive result.”
The forward signed off with a message for the fans.
Ward stated; “Keep backing the squad as we will appreciate it, it kicks us on.”
“Expect to see determination, aggression and hard work from me. I always like a battle with a centre half and to score some goals would be nice.”
Welcome to the club Calum and thank you to Campion for their cooperation with the transfer.
