Earlier today we heard from Worksop Town manager Craig Denton after their 0-0 derby day draw against Handsworth Parramore- and now we hear from joint interim Ambers boss Jon Froggatt – who was pleased with the point. (Main photograph by Lewis Pickersgill)
“I think a draw was just about a fair result. The pitch and conditions weren’t great which didn’t allow us to play the way we wanted too at times, but having said that I think we tried to play the game in the right way and I thought we just shaded the first half. We should have done a little better with some half chances though.
“Against top sides you don’t get many so I think we maybe could have gone in one or two up.
“Second half was a scrappy affair with our keeper not having much to do. He was called on once and made a world class save but that was just about all he had to all game. But all in all the lads put in another great shift and we looked solid as a team. It was a great crowd and the atmosphere was great as always in these derby days. We were pleased with the debuts of two new lads they will only improve us further. We now move onto another tough game net Saturday.”
