BARRETT: “We have no worries if we battle like we did at Bottesford!”

With a Cup Final to look forward to thanks to Tuesday night’s 3-0 defeat of Bottesford Town in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy, Grimsby Borough Manager Daniel Barrett turns his attention back to the league and to this weekend’s trip to 9th placed Parkgate, writes Ian Robinson.

Since the two clubs met in November when Borough won 2-1, Parkgate have picked up 24 points from 27 available, so Daniel knows his side will be in for a hard afternoon at Roundwood.

“Saturday will be a very tough test for us. Parkgate have been in great form since the last time we played them with 8 wins and just 1loss last weekend. They’ve signed some good players and they seem to be knitting together well.”

“Hopefully we can follow on from last night’s win and again it’s a good opportunity for some lads with us having injuries, suspensions etc but these lads showed their capabilities last night, so we have no worries if we battle like we did at Bottesford.”
