After taking just one point from their last three games, you might have expected the Handsworth Parramore management team to be all doom and gloom, but that’s certainly not the case, writes Ian Robinson.
Ahead of Saturday’s trip to face Harrogate Railway Athletic, The Amber Parras Joint Interim Manager Jon Froggatt told us of the upbeat feeling around the club despite them suffering narrow defeats at the hands of Yorkshire Amateur and Maltby Main and playing out a goal less draw with Worksop Town.
“The mood and atmosphere around the club is really positive at the minute, the group of lads we now have are working really hard, week in week out for each other, which is pleasing to see.”
Despite Harrogate’s lowly league position, their recent upturn in form hasn’t escaped Jon, who added “This weekend’s away trip to Harrogate is going to be a difficult one, and we can’t look at the table and think we can just turn up and get a result. They are a good side and have improved recently, last weeks draw away at Bridlington in particular! We’ve got to be at the top of our game, be professional, work hard and have the right attitude and desire, then hopefully our qualities will shine through. Our performance levels have been really good over the last 6 or 7 weeks, only losing twice by the odd goal, and in all honesty with a bit of luck, we could have maybe won them both on another day. So we’re going there confident and in good spirits, we’ll train hard again this week, then take that into Saturday’s game.”
