Unbeaten since the middle of December, the bottom club in Toolstation NCEL Division One, FC Bolsover have accumulated an impressive ten points during that same period. This weekend they make the short, ten-mile trip to the Fast Frame Stadium at Walesby Lane to face an Ollerton Town side who enjoyed that second half comeback in a 3-1 win over Glasshoughton Welfare last Saturday – and Bolsover Manager, Matt Chatfield is well aware of the importance of keeping a tight rein on the Town’s 25-goal marksman when the whistle blows on Saturday afternoon, writes Colin Muncie.
“On Saturday, we travel to Ollerton knowing – as always – that we need three points to try to keep our ‘Great Escape’ alive,” Matt admitted. “We know what threats Ollerton have, and hopefully know how to counteract this, but when a team has someone like Gav King you have to really make your game plan around trying to stop him scoring, because at the minute, he can score from anywhere, and from anything – and we have to be aware of this.”
“We really need to put in a good shift,” Matt warned. “I felt we were poor last Saturday, and we need to get back to how we have been playing recently to get us back on track.”
