It is set to be a feisty derby game this afternoon as NCEL Premier Division side Hall Road Rangers host local rivals Bridlington Town to Haworth Park.
Rangers assistant manager, Andy Watts recognises that it will be a difficult challenge for his side.
“Saturday will be another tough game. Brett and Anthony have done a great job since taking over at Bridlington Town and it wouldn’t surprise me if they won the league. They have a well organised side and possess quality all over the pitch,” he said.
“We’ve had a good week in training and the signing of Robbo has added real quality and experience to our team. Things are very difficult at the minute as results aren’t going our way and we are going to be in a real dog fight to stay in the league.”
“I must praise all the lads for sticking together and turning up week in, week out when the easy option is to walk away.”
Hall Road will want a positive result this weekend as the previous meeting between these sides ended as a 4-1 win for Bridlington at Queensgate.
Bridlington’s top goal scorer Joe McFadyen scored twice in that aforementioned defeat for Rangers and he has 13 league goals to his name.
“Everyone is in high spirits and looking forward to Saturday. If we cut out the individual errors I strongly believe we can get a good result.”
