Mason pleased with Maltby comeback & has special praise for a certain someone!

The last word on this weekend’s action goes to Maltby Main manager Scott Mason who was impressed with his sides comeback against Liversedge to win 4-2 at Muglet Lane, and had a particular good word about hat-trick hero Jordan Turner.

“We bounced back well after last weeks set back with a good all round team performance. You can’t under estimate any team in this league and Saturday was a tough game against a good side in a false position.

“Liversedge will upset teams over the next few weeks and will pick up some big points. We went down early on to a great individual goal but got straight back in the game with a well worked goal.

“But we knew we had to keep the ball better, so we had a good chat at half time and the lads came out after the break and put in a great 45 minutes.

“The quality in the end came out and we got our deserved rewards with some great finishing.

“JT (Jordan Turner) has been quality since he arrived at the club. He’s scored goals and played with a massive smile on his face which we try to bring into our club. He’s created a understanding with the other forwards and the squad. But his overall game and work rate is just what we have needed.”
