In last week’s featured Toolstation NCEL Division One contest at the H E Barnes Stadium, Swallownest enjoyed a fine 2-0 away win over near neighbours Dronfield Town. This weekend, tenth-placed Swallownest welcome 14th placed Skegness to Rotherham Road, and as Manager Jordan Stocks told TBG, his side are in the mood to replicate their 2-0 win in the reverse fixture at the Verigo Stadium at the end of September when the Lilywhites make their maiden appearance at Swallownest, writes Colin Muncie.
“On Saturday we welcome Skegness for their first ever visit to Swallownest” Jordan reported. “When we played them away, we played them off the park and the score could have been more than it was as we missed chances left, right and centre. Now they are under new Management (Martin Bunce and Nathan Collins) and they have moved up the table after a good run of results, we can’t be so wasteful. We are mindful of the threat they pose.”
Jordan believes that his players are ready for the Lilywhites. “We were fantastic last week at Dronfield and the lads trained well on Tuesday so we come into it buzzing,” said Jordan. “As every good team does, we have to go into the game confident and positive and impose ourselves as the team in form.”
