Without a game last week, Hall Road Rangers suddenly found themselves dumped in the relegation zone thanks to Harrogate Railway Athletic’s victory over Barton Town, and Rangers have the unenviable task of travelling to face new league leaders Penistone Church on Saturday, but as Assistant Manager Andrew Watts tells us, it’s a game he is relishing.
“Saturday’s game will be another tough game for us but one that I’m looking forward to, as we’ve trained really well this week and we’ve got another signing over the line. It’s no surprise to me that Penistone are top of the league as they’re a well drilled and organised team with a real togetherness there. I have a lot of respect for the job Ian and his team have done.
“Nobody will be expecting us to get a result on Saturday apart from us and in order to do that, we will have to be at the top of our game. We’re fighting for every point to stay up while Penistone are fighting for every point to win the league, so this sets up the game very nicely.”
