NCEL Premier Division side Handsworth Parramore have confirmed that Alex Rippon has accepted an approach from NCEL Division One club Parkgate and will leave the Ambers after an almost 20 year association with the club.
Aa statement from the club says, “Alex affectionately known around the club as“Raggy ” leaves us for a new challenge at Parkgate.
Raggy has made 139 appearances for the Ambers 1st team scoring 41 goals , the last of his goals coming in September ‘18 with a memorable late winner in the Sandy Lane Derby.
Raggy has played at every level for the club from the Junior Ranks through to the 1st team and has been fantastic for the club on and off the pitch , he was always happy to help when required with the Reserves or Under 21’s , and has been a brilliant role model for the talented lads in the Junior ranks.
Raggy leaves us with the club’s best wishes for a successful move away safe in the knowledge that the door is always open here at the Ambers .
We also thank Alex’s family for their fantastic support over the years and we also hope that we will be still seeing them all around the club.
Good luck Raggy and thank you for all your efforts here at the club.”
