BARRETT pleased to come away with three points

After seeing his side move into top spot at the head of Division One, Grimsby Borough Manager Daniel Barrett spoke to TBG briefly after the 3-1 victory at FC Bolsover, writes Ian Robinson.

“It was a difficult game as the pitch was poor and the weather was horrendous. We played some very good stuff at times and from the 25th-45th minute we played very well and that was enough. Credit to Bolsover as they never gave up and put pressure on us after scoring a worldy free kick that was out of the top drawer.”

Next up for the new league leaders is a trip to Armthorpe Welfare next weekend when a repeat of last month’s 3-0 victory would be most welcome.
