Chatfield disappointed at Grimsby loss

FC Bolsover’s 3-1 loss to Grimsby Borough yesterday was certainly a ‘good result’ on the face of it for Matt Chatfield’s boys as they had August’s 10-0 reversal drubbing still in their heads.

“I was disappointed not to be there on Saturday but my assistant took charge and by all accounts gave it a good go.”

“We started well with some good pressure and we should have taken a early lead, however this didn’t happen and Grimsby showed their quality scoring two goals before half time.”

“Second half started and after a few words we came out brightly, but couldn’t find a goal. Then up steps Brett, with a 25 yard free kick, and by all accounts it was a great goal. Then you either stick or twist and we went to put a centre-back up front to try and equalise and they caught us on the counter.”

“I am glad in some ways because it wasn’t the 10-0 throbbing we got earlier on in the season however, obviously disappointed in the result.”
