6th placed Bridlington Town have a great opportunity to climb into 3rd spot tomorrow night when they play one of their games in hand at Goole, writes Ian Robinson.
Despite the difference in league positions, Seasiders Manager Brett Agnew expects nothing other than a tough night, with the pitch potentially being a great leveller.
“It will be a dog fight tomorrow and probably not one for the purists either as their pitch is very poor, I’ve seen better farmers fields to be honest.
“We have to step up to that though and play to the conditions as you can’t always play the way you want to in games, so we need a plan B and C in case A doesn’t work.
“Anthony and I are privileged to have such a strong squad to choose from and the lads attitudes have been excellent when being left out sometimes, as they know it’s a squad game and you need it to be up an about there.
“Goole have signed lots of players since the last time we played them so we don’t really know how to take them but they will be stronger, that’s for sure. As this is one of our games in hand we must take the opportunity to get maximum points to lift us up to third place which looks a lot better from the outside.”
