Rangers players dying to be let off their leash on Tuesday night!

Hall Road Rangers take a break from their relegation struggle tomorrow night as they welcome mid-table Division One outfit Swallownest to Haworth Park for a League Cup 4th Round tie, writes Ian Robinson.

Rangers haven’t tasted victory in a wretched 12 game run that stretches right back to the end of October when, coincidentally, they thrashed Grimsby Borough in the previous Round of the same competition.

Assistant Manager Andrew Watts told TBG that his players are straining at the leash due to their recent enforced downtime.
“After not playing for three weeks, Tuesday can’t come quick enough. We welcome back Connor into the squad which will give us a real boost.

“Having not played Swallownest before, I’ve been speaking to a few teams that have played them and know roughly what to expect. It will be good to get 90 minutes into the lads before our next league game on Saturday, and with it being a Cup game, the pressures of the league are off, however we will be looking to progress in the Cup.”
