Swallownest Management team head to Dawson Drive hopeful of making a big impression

The lads and lasses of Swallownest FC face a 120-mile round trip East this evening when their side, tenth in Division One, make for Haworth Park and a Fourth Round NCEL League Cup clash with Hall Road Rangers, nineteenth in the Premier Division – and the Swallownest Management team head to Dawson Drive hopeful of making a big impression, writes Colin Muncie

Manager Jordan Stocks told the Bootiful Game, “tomorrow we travel to Hull for what I expect will be a very tough physical battle. We go as underdogs but we were the same against Goole in the last round (a tie Swallownest won 1-0). We will go confidently, knowing that we are capable of a big result – especially with the squad we are fielding. There will be changes from Saturday to freshen things up, especially after a few knocks were picked up. We want to be in the hat for next round where hopefully we can attract a good local home tie against another big club.”

Assistant Manager, Joel Evans, is looking forward to the clash. “The pressure is on the home team more than us,” he suggested to TBG. “It’s a great experience to test ourselves against Premiership opposition so, all in all, it should be a great occasion.”
