Handsworth Parramore beat Liversedge 2-1 at The King of Soho Stadium to move up into seventh place thanks to a Leon Howarth brace. Joe Walton made things interesting with a late header but The Ambers held on to take all three points in a performance which was enjoyed by Joint Interim Manager Steve Istead, writes Ian Robinson.
“I thought we did really well today, as we had a few lads missing and carrying knocks and illness, but the lads who played were class from the off. We played some good stuff at times and looked dangerous going forward. That said, I thought Liversedge had their spells too and Walton up front was a constant threat throughout.
We hope to get the lads back to fitness this week ahead of a really tough test next Saturday at Bridlington.”
