Harrogate Railway slipped back into the NCEL Premier Division relegation zone on Saturday after a 3-1 loss at home against Hemsworth MW.
Railway initially took the lead but a goal midway through the first half followed by two in the second half saw Craig Ogilvie’s men defeated.”
“Totally the correct result on Saturday. We came up against a very good Hemsworth side who fully deserved 3 points.”
“I had a chat with Wayne after the game and he said he was a little disappointed with his forward play so when they hit top form other teams need to be on the top of their game as I think they can go all the way!”
“My biggest praise for them is I thought they were relentless in wanting to win the ball back even in the final minutes and to have that in your locker is a great attribute. They’ve got some quality in that side, the number 8 in the middle of the park I thought was very good for them and I genuinely believe they might take some stopping! All the best to Wayne and his lads.”
“We didn’t play our best I don’t think, and our service into the forward line didn’t help as both were good in the air and we just punted it so it wasn’t even a contest in that respect; but it was a much better performance from the week before and that’s what I asked for before the game; so there’s some positives.”
“We’ve got bigger games coming up and today wasn’t a game where people thought we’d get anything anyway so nothing lost, nothing gained and we can’t control what happens around us elsewhere with other teams.”
“We just have to concentrate on us and that’s what we’ll continue to do going forward. We have targets for the next 6 weeks and if we get close to achieving those targets we’ll be ok.”
