Fast forward 10 months though, and he has now accepted a position at Harworth Colliery, alongside new manager Craig Spink, and he is looking forward to the challenge.
“On Monday night, I accepted the Assistant Manager’s position to work with Craig Spink who I have know for many years as player and coach.”
“He has great attention to detail, a great coach and person. I am sure we will work well together. Everyone knows that I have been in this position before with FC Bolsover, so I think I know what the task in hand is. Being in the position we’re in is not ideal but we will work hard to turn fortunes around.”
“I know Craig was itching to get back into football after he left Frickley Athletic, but after a chat with him tonight [Monday] to arrange this position, I was delighted to accept and work with him.”
“I will back him all the way to give the best to the team and give him what is needed. I am looking forward to the great escape.”
