OGI: “We’re not getting relegated playing like we did tonight!”

Last night saw Craig Ogilvie’s side defeated 2-0 to joint top Worksop Town at Station View, but the young manager was pleased with their display after tinkering with his side.

“It was a really encouraging performance from my lads, we weren’t intimidated, we stuck to trying to play our football and unfortunately it wasn’t good enough on the night.”

“As I’ve said previously after the Penistone game all I wanted from the lads was honest and hard working performances and that’s what I’ve had over the last few games, so I’m as pleased as you can be with a 2-0 defeat to Worksop. Congratulations to them and I’m sure they’ll be in the mix come April.”

“We changed a lot round tonight, tried a few in different positions and a new formation to see where we stand for the next few weeks when we play the teams around us, so it was a really worthwhile workout for our boys tonight and I’m pleased that the experimenting of the shape and formation was a success too.”

“We’re not getting relegated playing like we did tonight competing against a team like Worksop.”
