AGNEW is desperate for Brid to taste Cup glory

NCEL Premier Division side Bridlington Town face Humber Premier League side Westella and Willerby tomorrow in the East Riding Senior Cup Semi-Final at the Roy West Centre in Hull (7pm kick-off).

Town Manager, Brett Agnew is hoping their recent form carries on in their Cup Semi. “Wednesday gives us a chance to concentrate on something other than the league and turn our attention to a one-off game against Westella.”

“This will be their cup final and they will come looking to upset the odds so we must go out and play with freedom and express ourselves.”

“I want to win the game and also put out a real statement of intent that Hull City will be in the final.”

“We have a lot of players missing the game, as some cannot make the 7pm kick-off time because of work commitments and others are injured. We have brought in some lads who haven’t been making the squad recently, but they have great attitudes to do the job when called upon.”

“It’s an easy game to get up for as it’s a chance to get into a final, no matter what standard or how small, a final is still a final at the end of the day.”
