He has been the Chairman, Junior Chairman and Manager at Retford United, but Badger’s legend Simon Brammer has decided to step away from the club completely after over a decade with the Central Midlands side.
“I wasn’t going to release a statement but as I’m getting the same question asked over and over again here it is. After thoughtful consideration I’ve decided not to take the club up on their offer to remain at the club in another role.”
“I’ve had a great 10/11 years at the club and hope I’ve made a difference over the years. I’ve had the privilege to meet and work with some wonderful people, who should be applauded for giving up their time to make a difference in the community.”
“Retford United, I’m sure will go from strength to strength and with the likes of Andrew Han and Gary Sykes, just to name a few, leading the way, the club’s in good hands. My biggest thanks has to go to my missus Natalie for putting up with it all, as she’s said on numerous occasions ‘your obsessed with that club’.”
