It was a night to remember for Bridlington Town and their fans as the Seasiders advanced to the East Riding Senior Cup Final with a thumping 4-1 win over Humber Premier League side Westella & Willerby.
Manager Brett Agnew was delighted, “Last night we did the job that was needed which was to win the game, we could and should have scored a lot more but it wasn’t to be.”
“I thought Westella competed really well and gave it a go and didn’t stop trying until the final whistle, so Chris can be really happy and take the positives from it.”
“It was good to get some lads game time who have waited a few weeks and been patient, and I thought they performed really well. Chris Adams was a stand out for me, the ball was like super glued to his feet in testing conditions and bobbly pitch, he took his goals really well and contributed to everything good we did in the game.”
“Good luck to Westella for the rest of their season. “
