FC Bolsover, no longer the bottom club in the table, will be looking to close the gap to eighteenth-placed Skegness Town – and Toolstation NCEL Division One safety – when they head to Rotherham Road and a clash with eleventh-placed Swallownest this Saturday; and Bolsover Manager, Matt Chatfield, takes his squad into their final eight games with a clear objective, writes Colin Muncie
“After moving off the foot of the table last Saturday, we now need to start putting space between us and Harworth,” Matt explained, “and also set about target two which is to get out of the relegation zone. The lads know how much of a boost last week was, but now we are focused on going one way.”
Matt is expecting a tough afternoon as he draws on his inner Richard Attenborough as he surveys his escape plan. “On Saturday we have Swallownest,” he noted. “They will want to get some more points on the board after a couple of good performances against some top sides.”
“So, we need to keep our momentum and performances going into the game to try to get the three points to keep the ‘Great Escape’ going”.
The Bootiful Game will be at Rotherham Road for the clash.
