Huge game in NCEL Division One title race as Nostell host Rangers

Winterton Rangers need to get back to winning ways when they travel to face Nostell Miners Welfare this weekend, if they are to maintain their promotion challenge, writes Ian Robinson.

Scott Hellewell’s men are fully charged and ready to go following last week’s defeat at Emley, as the Rangers boss told TBG. “It feels like it’s been a long week since Emley, we are eager to get back out there and what better way than against another team fighting high up the league. It’s a nice little set up at Nostell and the pitch is one of the better ones in the league. It’s another big game like they all are and one we know we need to win to stay in touching distance.”

“They have a good team down there and have been on a great run recently. I don’t think they were at their best when they came to our place a few months back but our squad is in better shape now so it’s going to be an exciting game for sure.”

Whilst Nostell MW Joint Manager, Jason Dodsworth, “The tough games just coming for us and hopefully we can continue our good run of form. It’s a big weekend this as Hallam face Campion and we play Winterton. We will be looking to put right our away defeat to them and get 3 points on Saturday.”

“It’s at the point now where the top teams are playing each other and points are going to be dropped we just need to make sure we are doing our business and the rest will take care of itself.”
