Evans knows that the recent mismatch between his side’s displays and their results won’t stop them arriving on Richard Street in confident mood

Swallownest’s impressive NCEL League Cup journey to the Quarter Finals has taken them past Premier Division opponents Goole AFC in the Third Round and Hall Road Rangers in the Fourth. Tomorrow night, they’ll make the journey to Selby Town to tackle the Robins with a semi-final place at stake after last week’s postponement at the Fairfax Plant Hire Stadium -and their Assistant Manager, Joel Evans, knows that the recent mismatch between his side’s displays and their results won’t stop them arriving on Richard Street in confident mood, writes Colin Muncie.

“Tomorrow’s game at Selby will be very tough as both teams will feel they have enough to go through,” Joel warned. “I know we have had a few bad results but performance-wise we haven’t been that bad. The lads know what they have to do tomorrow – and if we can stick to a game plan, I’m sure we will have a chance.”

“It should be an entertaining game with both teams going for it.”
