MILLINGTON’S been using the enforced week off to galvanise his squad for the remaining games of a fine season

It’s one of Mike Payne’s shorter trips this Saturday as he navigates Chris Millington and his eighth-placed Dronfield Town side the 25 miles or so to the Fast Frame Stadium on Walesby Lane for their awkward-looking Toolstation NCEL Division One encounter at sixteenth-placed Ollerton Town; and, reflecting on a tough run of away fixtures, Chris has been using the enforced week off (thanks to the weather) to galvanise his squad for the remaining games of a fine season, writes Colin Muncie.

“We’re looking forward to getting back at it on Saturday against Ollerton,” Chris admitted. “We haven’t been in great form recently so the mini-break we have had has been welcomed; it has allowed us to put some perspective on what has been a good season so far, but we know that we have 8 games left and the aim is still – and always has been – to finish in the top 8 of this League, which will hopefully mean an FA Cup place for next season.”

“Ollerton is a great club and it’s never easy for us when we go there.”
