Morris was disappointed with his sides poor performance

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic missed the chance to close the gap on the top five in Division One today as they were surprisingly beaten 2-1 at home by struggling East Yorkshire Carnegie, writes Ian Robinson.

Jamie Austin fired The Briggers ahead early in the second-half but two goals in eight minutes by Josh Walker earned the points for the visitors in front of a crowd of 73.

A disappointed Bridge Manager Lee Morris spoke to TBG after the game, telling us, “we were poor today but fair play to Carnegie, they came and did a job on us and went away with the three points.”

“We wish them luck in their fight against relegation but me and DT will sit down and re-evaluate as the games are coming quick and fast which is a good thing when you lose as it gives us a chance to put it right quickly on Tuesday.”
