After a run of just one defeat in thirteen games had fired Bridlington Town into the top three of the Premier Division, their recent form of no wins in their last four fixtures has seen them slip out of contention, much to the frustration of Manager Brett Agnew, writes Ian Robinson.
Tomorrow sees tenth placed Eccleshill United visit Queensgate, and Brett knows they will be no pushover.
“They’re a big solid side with some good quality players and they showed that in the game at their place,” said Brett.
“We must get back on track on Saturday, we’ve had our bad patch and now we must finish the season strong as we don’t deserve to finish 4th, 5th or 6th in my opinion, but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves.”
“Myself and Bowz will be trying out new formations and personnel, and figuring out things ahead of next season. We have a few lads back this weekend and a few out as well, so it’s another chance to see a few lads who have not played as much.”
