Second from bottom Harworth Colliery visit NCEL Division One title contenders Campion on Wednesday night after narrowly missing out on the points against Dronfield Town at the weekend, but that performance has given Manager Craig Spink plenty of positivity as he plots a course to survival.
“With only four games left it’s going to the wire but the good thing is that now it’s in our hands and we have to go out thinking we can win every game. Although no one likes a defeat, after Saturday the boys remain positive we can get out of trouble. No one expects us to get anything at the title chasers on Wednesday but we will be giving everything we have and want to put on a performance for all the travelling fans.”
With upcoming games against fellow strugglers Ollerton Town and Rossington Main on the horizon, anything gained at Campion would be a massive fillip for Harworth as they fight to avoid an immediate return to the Central Midlands League, writes Ian Robinson.
