After their excellent midweek victory at Nostell, Winterton Rangers are still just about alive and kicking in the race for promotion from NCEL Division One, albeit with the slimmest of slim chances as they are reliant on other teams failing, but Manager Scott Hellewell is already looking forward towards next season, writes Ian Robinson.
Firstly though, he told TBG about his sides latest win. “Wednesday night’s win was testament to the group of lads we have, and I want to see that second half performance every week.”
“We owe Emley one after losing there with the last kick of the game earlier in the season, which probably ruined our title bid. We know what to expect with them and hopefully, without hurricane winds, we will see a proper game of football.”
“It’s our last home game of the season and with the sun set to be out, I hope we have a good turn out again and we can send everyone home happy and wanting to come back next season.”
