Grimsby Borough, second in Division One, make their last road trip of the season on Wednesday night when they travel over to Nottinghamshire to face Ollerton Town at Walesby Lane, writes Ian Robinson.
Borough, who currently sit four points behind leaders Campion after their 1-1 draw against Shirebrook Town, know that at least a point is imperative to extend the promotion race into Saturday when the top two clash.
However, Manager Daniel Barrett is taking nothing for granted. “Tonight’s game will be a difficult one. Ollerton is always a hard place to get a result, and I am sure they will want to be finishing as high up the table as possible. We need to be at our best and obviously we need all three points to make sure our season stays alive until the very last day of the season.”
“I’m genuinely happy for Ollerton and their survival! They are one of those clubs in this league who do their upmost to do it right and without a budget, it’s brilliant.”
“It’s the biggest three points of the season we are chasing, so yet again we have to win and then hopefully we can head into a winner takes all game at the weekend.”
