Three points today for Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in their home game against Armthorpe Welfare, will see The Briggers finish in 7th place in Division One, amazingly their highest placing since the 2001-02 season, writes Ian Robinson.
Congratulations must therefore go to Manager Lee Morris who told us, “I’m really looking forward to the game, the last one in a long, very hard season. All non-league Managers will be looking forward to the break, well as much of a break as you get, as if you do your job right, it’s a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, 365 day a year job.”
“We have exceeded expectations this season and I really want to end it with a win and a good performance and finish in a fantastic 7th place. We were predicted to go down, and to finish 7th just shows what a fantastic season we as a club have had. After Saturday is done, I will sit down with the club and see what the ambition and expectations are for the coming season and hopefully we can see where that takes us.”
“I want to give a big shout out to our players who have been amazing and I take my hat off and thank everyone that has pulled a shirt on for us this season.”
