It was a thoroughly disappointing end to the 2018/19 season for Bill Gill and his Hall Road Rangers side as they were relegated on Saturday following their 2-1 defeat away at Goole AFC.
However, Bill Gill is confident that they will bounce back. “Naturally we are disappointed after yesterday’s result and it’s been a difficult 24 hours. Last season we managed to do it comfortably with our remaining games but this season after the Penistone result we just haven’t taken chances and enough points. Congratulations to Goole for their survival and commiserations to Harrogate who are relegated with us.”
“The club has a tremendous group of players that are probably 2/3 seasons from competing at a higher level, and unfortunately that takes patience and persistence and we ran out of time this season; sometimes you have to take 1 step back to take 2 steps forward.”
