NCEL Division One side Hall Road Rangers are pleased to welcome Dave Reader to the Committee Management Team. The former East Yorkshire Carnegie Chairman will take an active role working with Chairman, Vice Chairman and the full commitee.
Darren Sunley said, “Dave is a great bloke with a lot of experience and its brilliant news he has joined the management committee. We have always been in contact regarding football matters and this adds to our foundations.”
Dave Reader also added, “Firstly I would like to thank everyone at EYC for the fantastic 3 years I had down with the club and all management, players, volunteers and fans have been fantastic, however I decided to step away from the club due to personal commitments and to reduce my work load within the club and football. Since my resignation on Monday the phone was a little warm with some great people contacting myself regarding my thoughts on what to next. I have always reiterated my desire to remain in grass roots football and after a few meetings and chats with Hall Rd and Darren we both agreed that we could all work together to reduce a workload only I’m too familiar with within an established club.”
“I therefore have decided to join Hall Rd Rangers in an active role working alongside the chairman, vice chairman and committe and with the earlier club release of Leon Sewell and Chris Burke I have the opportunity to again work closely with some very good people. I look forward to meeting everyone within the club over the next month or so and to help where required.
I would like to thank my family Kirsty, Taylor, Elaine and Phill in supporting me in my decision to continue within local football. Finally I would like to say that I wish East Hull FC the very best of luck and leave some very good people I can call friends behind and good luck for the foreseeable future.”
