NCEL Premier Division interim manager leaves club…

NCEL Premier Division side Handsworth Parramore have confirmed that following lengthy discussions with interim manager Stevie Istead it is has been agreed that Stevie will leave his role as Interim 1st team manager.

A statement from the club says, “Stevie took joint charge of 1st team management affairs with Jon Froggatt in the middle of last season and took sole charge of the 1st team when Jon moved onto AFC Mansfield.Stevie has been a fantastic servant to our club both on and off the pitch , a true role model whose honesty and work rate has been admired by all who has come into contact with him.Stevie has kindly agreed to help the club in any way possible as we move into the forthcoming season , a measure of the affinity he has for the club and we have for him.Chairman John Ward said of Stevie ” I would just like to place on record my thanks to Stevie for what he did for us on the pitch as a player and more recently for the excellent job he’s done in managing our 1st team ….a true gentleman with a terrific knowledge of the game and a tremendous work rate we know he wont be a stranger and the door will always be wide open for Stevie and his family”

Vice Chairman Steve Holmes added ” Stevie has left such a big impression on us all, he took to management so comfortably and its been an absolute pleasure to work closely with him , he leaves our club initially to spend more time with his family ….I know he’ll not be stranger around the place and is a true friend to the club who has certainly done us and himself proud with the job he’s done here at Handsworth, a measure of the man is the helping hand he’s offered as we plan for the forthcoming season and top man and true professional”

Stevie said of his time at the Ambers “Handsworth is a top club, it has top people behind the scenes, and I will always look out for their results and progress”” The last few months have been a real eye opener to management at this level!! …I’m going to have a (well earned) holiday with the family then see what the future holds””It will either be a clean break from football and spend my weekends with the kids…or maybe come back into the game in a management/coaching role or even pull the boots back on and chase some cocky young kids around booting lumps out of them !!””
