Just 24 hours ago Sean Regan announced that he had resigned as manager of NCEL Premier Division side Eccleshill after nearly 4 years in charge.
But just hours later they announced they announced that Lee Elam was taking over. A statement from the club says, “The Eagles are thrilled to announce Lee Elam as the new Eccleshill boss this evening.
The club was contacted this morning by Lee Elam who expressed his interest in taking up the post of Eccleshill United manager. An interest that was highly flattering after previewing Elam’s C.V.
Lee is an FA A-Licensed coach and is highly respected in the game. Elam, who is vastly-experienced has coached at Bradford City’s Academy and is currently the head of his own football academy – Pro Elite Academy based in Bradford.
As well as having an impressive coaching background – Elam has also played professional football for the likes of Exeter City, Yeovil Town and Morecambe. It was with Exeter City where Lee made two trips to play in play-off finals at Wembley Stadium.
Eccleshill United are thrilled with the appointment and would like to wish Lee and his future backroom staff the very best. Elam will be taking the Eagles on into Pre-Season and the NCEL Premier Division campaign – in-which we look forward to seeing Elam and the side excel.
