Bates hails inaugural EvoStik/NCEL “Select” game a success

The game ended 2-2 in a hotly contested event with Terry Bates’ racing into a two goal lead with Jack Normanton on 16 minutes and Luke Hogg on 32 minutes finding the back of the net.

Huddersfield did get one back before the break through Andrew Ijiwole and then equalised during the second half with Darnell Mintus getting on the score sheet.

Bates hailed his side’s performance in front of several scouts, “Select Team have never trained or played together before but the players just dropped in and carried out our game plan and executed it very well. Our game stats where impressive.

“People watching where from professional clubs and semi professional clubs. Thank you to HTFC for having football vision.”
