HCFC announce the return of a former manager…

Harworth Colliery Football club are delighted to announce that Brendan Wilson will once again take up the reigns as 1st team manager.

A statement from the club says, “Harworth Colliery Football club are delighted to announce that Brendan Wilson will once again take up the reigns as 1st team manager.

Bren returns to the job after standing down three season ago due to personal reasons, Bren will be joined by former Players and coaches Mark Latham and Mark Brogan.
We will also be looking to add another to the backroom to strengthen this team further, this will be advertised out this week and we hope to have this position filled before the start of Pre season at the end of June, Brendan had been interim reserves manager last season and so we have another vacancy to fill so will be advertised at the same time.

Brendan knows the club inside out and bleeds Orange and Black, we know how difficult a job its going to be to get us back where we want to be which is of course the NCEL and so a united club will give us the best chance off doing so, that’s management, players, Committee, volunteers and Supporters.

Now is a time for us to re-group and re-build following a turbulent 18 months in which time the club has had a promotion a relegation and three different managers and so its perfect for Bren to come back at this point and give us the stability that we need moving forward.

We wish Brendan and his back room staff all the very best and can now look forward to the coming season with renewed optimism.
