Frosty hat-trick fires Maltby to fine win

NCEL Premier Division side Maltby Main must be on a high (still!?) as they defeated Curtis Woodhouse’s Bridlington Town 4-1.

Ross Duggan opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 31 minutes, then Danny Frost netted a 14 minute hat-trick, with two before half-time then one on 50 minutes. Jack Griffin did net for Brid just after the break and before Maltby’s fourth.

Maltby Manager Scott Mason was pleased with the victory, “I am really happy it was a great result yesterday against a quality side that will be in the mix come the end of the season .

“We looked at times yesterday the team we want to become. We still have things to work on don’t get me wrong. But from the off we worked hard and made the right decision at the right times, something we’ve been working on and asking them to bring in to the games.

“We defended and took our chances well and looked solid all over the pitch. Was well happy for Frosty to get his hat trick and with Duggan who came in and played really well.”

“But again we shall enjoy this feeling and move onto another tough game Tuesday night away at Goole .
