HEATH: “I’m a big believer in wanting to win every competition you’re involved in!”

Knaresborough's Adam Baker keeps a close eye on the ball.
Sitting just below the summit of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division, Knaresborough Town are back on familiar territory tonight when they travel to Sandygate to face Hallam; and Town player/coach, Colin Heath, has plenty of recent experience of stirring clashes in Sheffield, writes Colin Muncie.
Colin felt that a share of the points at home to Bottesford last Saturday was a decent outcome, and he’s expecting another great game tonight. “After a fair result on Saturday – where both teams feel they could have won it – we move on to tonight’s Cup match away at Hallam, a team we know very well,” Colin explained to TBG.
“It’s always been a tough place to go, against a team that willbe well organised and tough to beat – especially at home where they know how to play the pitch. We’ve had some great battles over the years and we look forward to another one tonight.”Colin is certain his players won’t be holding back tonight.
“I’m a big believer in wanting to win every competition you’re involved in,” he insisted, “and the LeagueCup is no different. We won it a few years ago – and got to play at Bradford City – and we would like to try and do the same this season.”
“We have a large squad to compete, there are players coming back from injury -and so we are looking for a positive result.”
