BRUTALLY HONEST from GILL: “It was a walk in the park for them!”

Hall Road Rangers manager Bill Gill.

Brutally honest Bill Gill certainly does not hold back in his analysis of Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Eccleshill United in the NCEL Premier Division. Gill saw his side squander an early 1-0 lead (Josh Vickers 4th minute), as Luke Harrop (20 minutes) and Charlie Flaherty (58 minutes) turn the game on its head.

Gill was less than impressed by his sides application, “Twice in the last two months now we have played Eccelshill and before each game both coaches stand their with coffees and tea in hand chilled out as if it’s going be a walk in the park.

“On Saturday, it was a walk in the park for them. We haven’t done enough to take anything from the game and the better team won.

“At there place we deserved a minimum point if not all three but they fully deserve all three from this fixture, we just didn’t start and didn’t get going and individual errors and lack of focus cost us.

“We must have had 7/8 chances & scored once, conversion rates need to be better. Two clean sheets prior to this game have been undone for me we need to quickly regroup focus and get back to business.

“The only positive is we moved up a place.”
