All change at Borough as Ex-Manager returns in a different role

NCEL Premier Division side Grimsby Borough have announced that Chairman Dave Fenwick has stepped down, Vice-Chair Simon Harris has stepped up and will be joined by former manager Andy Liddle.

A statement from the club says, ” Grimsby Borough would like to thank Dave Fenwick for his services after he announced his resignation from his role of Chairman to the Senior Section and Executive Committee member.

Under Dave’s tenure at the club Borough won promotion to the NCEL Premier Division and are now playing at their highest level since the club was founded in 2003.

Executive Committee chairman Mike Goddard said, “ I would like to thank Dave for all his hard work at the club and I wish him well for the future”.

Senior Vice–Chair Simon Harris will step up to the Chairman’s role and with immediate effect Simon will be joined in the role by former Borough manager Andy Liddle who will bring his unique and vast footballing knowledge to the club.

In a statement, Simon Harris said “Dave Fenwick has given good service to the club so it is important that we, as a club, look to maximise our ability in the boardroom. I have worked with Andy several times and we are looking forward, along with our great committee, to keep the club moving in the right direction.”
